Solid Ground was established by Stephen and Erika Houmard.
Our mission is to provide a unique and superior home inspection

helps

make
good,
confident
decisions about the home you are buying or selling. We
do this by continually improving our services based on
insights from buyers, sellers and real estate professionals
regarding their wants and needs as it relates to the
sale of real estate.

State of South Carolina #2046,

Stephen’s know-how comes
from major home renovation. Having completely gutted
and renovated homes over 50
years old in the Atlanta area, Stephen has personal experience
re-building and connecting all the systems in the house
to create a home that works, is safe and enjoyable.
While renovating homes, Stephen gained experience in
commercial building maintenance and repair for a major
health club chain in Atlanta. To preserve their premium
image, Stephen provided continuous care for over 30 clubs
to keep them in good-looking and good-working shape.
Stephen started his career in nursing and spent ten
years in the medical field. During this time, he honed
his analytical and systems thinking skills, utilized
a scientific approach to diagnose problems and developed
his wonderful ability to convey conditions to patients
in a manner that was both educational and comforting.
Erika brings over 12 years of business experience from corporate
America, which gives her the knowledge and experience necessary
to head up Marketing and Business Development. One of Erika's
responsibilities is to ensure that our clients consistently
receive an outstanding inspection experience in a convenient
and timely manner. Additionally, Erika is dedicated to understanding
what home buyers, home sellers and real estate professionals
want and need in a home inspection and is continually improving
our services based on those insights.
